Aidoc's solutions support physicians by analyzing CT scans for positive findings and prioritize cases, thus expediting the treatment of patients in need of urgent medical attention. Aidoc's AI-powered software detects a number of acute medical conditions, such as intracranial hemorrhage, stroke, pulmonary embolisms, and c-spine fractures. The software works in the background, in parallel with the radiologist, notifying and activating physicians within the imaging workflow.
UCSF's judges noted that Aidoc's solution, the first of its kind in the world, helps physicians save lives thanks to the alert it issues on urgent cases, within seconds before the patient leaves the imaging room. In addition, the solutions have shown a broad impact on key metrics, such as patient length of stay and turnaround time – an important factor in both patient health and optimization of hospital management.
Aidoc's technology is also used to scan routine outpatient exams, the results of which are otherwise obtained after several days.
Founded by three members of the IDF's elite Talpiot program – Elad Wallach, Michael Berginsky and Guy Reiner – Aidoc has raised $140 million to date, with the latest Series C round yielding $66 million. Aidoc has received seven FDA clearances for its software solutions, which are utilized in 600 medical centers around the world.
