The commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards Hossein Salami lashed out at Israel in a meeting with the head of Pakistan's military Tuesday.

"The occupier and illegitimate Zionist regime is the enemy of Islam and all of humanity. The Americans, who are the swamp from which it grew, are in effect the enemy of every Islamic government," he told the commander of Pakistan's army.
Pakistan is a regional US ally.
"This is an important question: Why is it that now that it has been proven that Israel is incapable of defending itself and constitutes a regime without governance, many governments around the Arab and Muslim world choose to rely on it and cooperate with it? All those who engage in normalization with the child-murdering Zionist regime will meet a bitter end," he warned.
On Monday, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei authorized the appointment of Mohammad Kazemi to the role of head of the Guards' Intelligence unit after Hossein Taib was ousted from the role.
According to media outlets aligned with the Iranian opposition, Taib was deposed over his failure to warn of plans to assassinate senior officials in the organization and scientists employed by the Guards as well as a series of failed operations against Israeli targets overseas.
