Commander of the Israeli Navy Vice Adm. David Saar Salama awarded the certificates to units, commanders, and fighters who developed projects that brought a significant intelligence and operational advantage to the IDF.
They required years of intensive work to develop in cooperation with the Military Intelligence Directorate, and reflect the fighters and commanders' technological innovation, extraordinary operational abilities, and creative thinking.
"We have achieved a number of breakthroughs in the field of intelligence in recent months after close cooperation between the Naval Intelligence Division and the Military Intelligence Directorate," head of the division, Brig. Gen. A., said addressing the awardees. "The achievements stemmed from creativity, creative thinking, and close cooperation between the bodies.
"Your groundbreaking work allows for an upgrade in operational, intelligence, and strategic capabilities and puts the IDF in general and the navy in particular in a position of operational and technological progress."
A. also emphasized the importance of these contributions to Israel's maritime field.
"Control of the sea and shipping lanes is a necessary condition for the existence of the state and its security," he said. Your initiatives "advance capabilities in this field with creativity, boldness, and innovation. You have made the navy, the Military Intelligence Directorate, and the IDF very proud."
