A train operated by a secretive nuclear division in Russia has caused concern in the West after unverified Telegram reports said it was moving toward the front line with Ukraine, just days after Russian President Vladimir Putin hinted he might use tactical nuclear weapons, the Telegraph reported Tuesday.

The train is reportedly linked to the 12th main directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense. It was spotted in central Russia over the weekend heading in the direction of Ukraine.
"This is actually a kit belonging to the 12th Main Directorate of the Russian MoD," Konrad Muzyka a Poland-based analyst was quoted in The Telegraph. "The directorate is responsible for nuclear munitions, their storage, maintenance, transport, and issuance to units," he continued.
The pro-Russian Telegram channel Rybar aired pictures of the supposed freight convoy moving vehicles and equipment, although there was no indication of weapons being transported. The images have not been confirmed as authentic.
