IDF officer Lt. Lidar Peretz, who died in a tragic work accident in the Tzeelim training facility in the north, will be laid to rest on Friday in Tel Aviv.

Peretz, from Or Yehuda, was killed after being crushed by a falling container at her army base. The IDF said in a statement that Peretz was confirmed dead at the scene and that another soldier, a male, was also slightly injured in the incident.

The military also said it launched an investigation into the accident, with findings to be presented to the Military Prosecution for evaluation. It also appointed a panel of experts to investigate the incident, led by the head of the Logistics Directorate, Maj. Gen. Mishel Yanko, head of the Northern Command, Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin, and senior logistics officer Col. Moshe Artzi.
