Rabbi Shay Schachter, a Yeshiva University senior faculty member, arrived in Israel to pay a visit to the hospital where the two Israeli rescued hostages are being treated.

Fernando Simon Marman and Louis Har were held captive by Hamas for 128 days and were rescued overnight Monday in a daring IDF mission.
Schachter had befriended the family of Louis Har over the past few months. Upon receiving a call from the family, he rushed to the hospital from the airport to offer love and support.
Following Schachter's advice, Louis Har recited the Birkat Hagomel, a Jewish prayer of gratitude, surrounded by a virtual gathering of hundreds of students from Yeshiva University in New York. The students then began to sing "Tov Lehodot LaHashem".
