IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari said in a statement that the incident happened in the southern part of the strip while they were sweeping the area to make it free of terrorists. "On Friday, three fighters fell and with them another 14 fighters were injured. They received initial treatment from fighters from Search and Rescue Unit 669 and were then transferred for further medical treatment in Israel. The incident occurred as the fighters cleared terror infrastructure in the area, and during the sweeps two Hamas explosives detonated in buildings. The explosion occurred just a few kilometers from the southern communities from which terrorists emerged on October 7," he said. "The price of war is heavy and painful, each casualty is a world unto itself. The forces are operating in the field according to intelligence that has accumulated as a result of technological server investigations, following prisoner interrogations that provide information about terror infrastructure in the area"
