Israeli forces have discovered a significant weapons cache belonging to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, including a vehicle that had been prepared for a terrorist raid inside Israel. The vehicle, discovered by paratroopers, belongs to Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force. The vehicle was armed and primed for an attack, discovered during raids on the terror organization's military compounds in southern Lebanon.
The troops uncovered hundreds of weapons in civilian buildings utilized by the terror organization in the raid. The arsenal included launchers, mortars, mines, explosive devices, anti-tank missiles, and grenades, among other armaments. All seized weapons will be transferred to Israeli territory for further analysis.
The troops are currently engaged in a limited campaign in the country to ensure the safety of northern residents. Israel has targeted Hezbollah's leadership systematically over the past several weeks in an aerial campaign that culminated with the elimination of its secretary general, Hassan Nasrallah, in a major strike in late September. This seismic event in Lebanon led to a massive missile barrage by Iran, the terrorist group's chief benefactor.
