Mia Schem, who was abducted from the Nova music festival on October 7 and held hostage by the Hamas terrorist organization for 54 days, revealed Thursday evening in an interview with Israeli Channel 12 that she was the woman who filed a police complaint alleging rape by a Tel Aviv-based fitness trainer. "I'm not the one who should be hiding," she said, adding: "In captivity, in Hamas' tunnels, without a hand, I still had hope. Now I find myself in the dark."
The suspect, a well-known fitness trainer in his 30s who has previously trained several celebrities, including models and even a former prime minister, has denied the allegations. According to the initial report on the case, Schem arrived at the police station dazed and confused when she filed the complaint.
She claims that a friend found her and that she has no memory of the alleged assault. According to the details reported, another individual was invited to her apartment by the trainer, but Schem does not know who that person was or what happened to her. For several days, she remained disoriented. She later went to a training session with the suspect, accompanied by a friend, to try to figure out whether anything unusual had occurred. then decided to file a complaint against him.
It should be noted that during a police confrontation between Schem and the trainer, both parties stood firm in their versions of events. Investigators found numerous inconsistencies in the trainer's account, despite his firm denial of any sexual contact with the complainant. A polygraph test administered to the trainer indicated that he was being deceptive in response to several questions related to sexual contact.
