US President Donald Trump is expected to announce a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip within the next few days, sources told Sky News Arabia on Monday.
According to sources, the anticipated ceasefire announcement will only be made as part of a broader deal that includes the release of Israeli hostages. Trump's position follows recent talks with Iran held over the past weekend. Commenting on those negotiations, Trump said, "good news" might soon emerge concerning Iran's nuclear program. "We made serious progress," he added.

Meanwhile, the Saudi-owned Al-Hadath TV reported Sunday that terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip had sent a message to Hamas in March, urging the group to accept a ceasefire framework proposed by Egypt. In addition, the groups reportedly called for the formation of a joint delegation to conduct negotiations with Israel. According to the report, an Israeli delegation is expected to arrive in Cairo on Monday to discuss renewing talks, although Israel has not officially confirmed the trip.
