Iran warned on Sunday that if its enemies make mistakes, it will respond "in a deadly and instructive manner." The threat comes two days after reports of missile tests conducted in the country.
"If the enemy miscalculates again, Iran's hand will be on top. It will seize the initiative on the battlefield and respond in a deadly and instructive way," read the statement. The Revolutionary Guard added, "We are strengthening our combat capability and both offensive and defensive power every day. Holy Defense Week is in fact a celebration of the victory of popular resistance."

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared that Tehran would overcome any reimposition of sanctions through the UN "snapback" mechanism. His comments followed a UN Security Council vote against a permanent removal of sanctions on Iran.
Iranian lawmaker Mohsen Zanganeh said Saturday in a state television interview that the country carried out a "security test" late Thursday night with one of its most advanced intercontinental missiles. His remarks came after images of unidentified trails in the skies over Iran circulated widely on social media earlier that day.
