Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib said Wednesday in a televised speech that Iranian operatives had penetrated Israeli facilities and obtained "millions of pages" of classified documents allegedly linked to Israel's nuclear program.
According to Khatib, the trove includes information on past and current weapons projects, efforts to upgrade older nuclear systems, and what he claimed were joint projects with the US and European states. He said the documents revealed the "entire management structure" of Israel's nuclear weapons program.
The Iranian minister said the files contained a detailed list of 189 Israeli nuclear and military experts, including their names, personal details, home addresses and professional connections. He claimed the list also included American and European scientists allegedly involved in what he called "anti-human projects," along with the locations of their facilities and companies. Khatib further asserted that sensitive information was uncovered about dual-use military and scientific sites, some of which, he said, were targeted by Iran during the war.
Khatib added that a "significant number" of employees at Israeli nuclear facilities and military institutions, as well as ordinary citizens, had cooperated with Iranian intelligence. The cooperation was driven, he said, by two main motives: "financial gain" and "deep hatred for the corrupt and criminal prime minister of the regime."
Iran presented no evidence to substantiate its claims, and Israel has not yet responded to the reports.
