Caregivers now access qualified family medical professionals for pediatric healthcare emergencies through Amazon One Medical's pay-per-visit telehealth platform, eliminating insurance requirements entirely.
The digital service addresses pink eye, lice, and ten dermatological conditions affecting children ages 2-11, including eczema and fungal infections, Amazon announced. EpiPen and asthma prescription renewals also receive coverage through the platform.

Text consultations cost $29 while video appointments require $49 payments without insurance, Prime memberships, or Amazon One Medical subscriptions, according to Amazon. Each session provides treatment protocols and prescriptions when medically appropriate.
Bergen Elsa, general manager for the service, described urgent care frustrations: "This service makes it easier for families to connect with trusted family care providers, day or night, saving time and money while providing peace of mind to parents and helping kids feel better sooner."
Families navigate treatable conditions on health.amazon.com, complete intake forms, and connect with board-certified physicians or licensed nurse practitioners. The platform serves families without insurance or those avoiding insurance claims for occasional medical needs, Amazon stated.
Dr. Natasha Bhuyan, national medical director, explained the service targets "in-between moments for parents with time-sensitive concerns" rather than replacing established pediatric relationships, according to Amazon. Amazon One Medical offices continue providing comprehensive age care with insurance billing for scheduled appointments and $99 annual membership fees for 24-hour virtual access.
