Will it finally happen? Following the opening of a Primark branch in Dubai, advanced talks are underway to bring the brand to Israel.
The talks involve three major players in the sector: CEO of Electra Consumer Products Zvika Shwimmer, whose company holds franchise rights for international brands Carrefour, Adidas, and Columbia; owner and chairman of Gottex Brands Group Joey Schwebel, who holds the official franchise for international fashion chains from the Inditex Group, including Zara, Bershka, and Pull & Bear; and founder and co-CEO of Max Stock Uri Max.
According to a source in the sector, after Primark entered the Middle East and opened its first branch in Dubai, there is feasibility for opening in Israel as well. Electra Consumer Products stated, "The company examines business moves all the time."
