During the final spectacle of Spain's Murcia Bullfighting Fair on Sunday, a 1,100-pound (499 kg) bull named Malacara leaped over an arena safety wall toward front-row attendees, The New York Post reported citing 20minutos. The animal charged the matador before scaling the barrier into the aisle separating spectators from the ring.

"There were women in those seats and they were close to being gored by the bull's horns," witness Juan Perez said according to The Sun."The animal was out of control. It was extremely lucky that nobody was injured." The bull could have presumably continued to the spectators' stands just like overcame the wood that had separated it from the ring, but luckily the bull decided ton continue along the perimeter path that had been created by concrete barriers.
Originating from the La Espartales ranch, Malacara "jumped into the exit alleyway twice," before a matador subdued the beast with a "killing lance," an official stated.
"This was needed to finish the bull," officials told 20minutos.
While bullfighting is a historic Spanish custom, critics condemn the practice as animal abuse. Both combatants and attendees face severe risks; in July, famed matador Morante de la Puebla suffered a severe rectal goring in Seville that left him unable to eat or sleep from excruciating pain, The New York Post noted.
