Leading figures from Israel's legal sector recently gathered for an exclusive dinner with a clear mission: to promote and expand pro bono work among the country's leading law firms.
The event was hosted by international law firm DLA Piper, together with Latet Od, a social impact organization and Israel's first legal clearinghouse, which connects volunteer attorneys with individuals who cannot afford legal representation.
The guest list featured senior attorneys and partners from some of Israel's most prominent law firms, such as Meitar, EBN (Erdinast, Ben Nathan, Toledano), S. Horowitz, Arnon, Tadmor-Levy, Agmon, Herzog Fox & Neeman and Gornitzky, as well as representatives from Tel Aviv University, the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) and Mishcon de Reya.
Jeremy Lustman, DLA Piper's Managing Partner in Israel, emphasized the importance of the initiative: "I feel that it is incredibly important for the culture of pro bono work in Israel to reach the same high standards and commitment that we see in the US."

Adv. and BSW Yael Havassy-Aharoni, Co-Founder of Latet Od, said: "Top-tier legal work is an essential pillar in rebuilding Israeli society and restoring the communities hardest hit by the war. Latet Od provides the bridge for leading firms to channel their expertise where it is needed most, building a lasting national pro bono ecosystem."
