Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani stated in an economic forum that the ceasefire negotiations, held in Doha in recent weeks, are stalled due to deep divisions between the parties.

New details emerge from the stormy cabinet meeting that approved humanitarian aid to Gaza. The prime minister described it as a “temporary bridging period”. A source explained the move as an effort to thwart a French initiative for unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state. 

Negotiations to end the war are ongoing through the highest levels in the Middle East and directly with the White House. Israel, sources say, demands a “seriousness down-payment” from Hamas regarding relinquishing control and disarming.

Over the past week, the Israeli Air Force launched an opening salvo, striking more than 670 targets belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization across the Gaza Strip.

Details obtained by Israel Hayom reveal that although the planned operation is broader in scope than those conducted over the past year, Israel appears unwilling to utilize all tools at its disposal.

The Prime Minister’s Office issued an official statement addressing, for the first time, the possibility that the negotiations in Qatar could lead to a deal that would result in the release of all hostages and the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip, ending the war.
