In Gaza, the IDF said it had been asked by the Al Shifa Hospital's director to help those who would like to leave do so by a secure route.

Leaflets, dropped in areas east of the southern town of Khan Younis, warned civilians to evacuate the area and said anyone in the vicinity of terrorists or their positions “is putting his life in danger.” Similar leaflets were dropped over northern Gaza for weeks ahead of the ground invasion.
The IDF released video from inside Shifa Hospital that showed three duffel bags it said it found hidden around an MRI lab, each containing an assault rifle, grenades and Hamas uniforms, as well as a closet that contained a number of assault rifles without ammunition clips.
"If we pull back, then who will take over? We can't leave a vacuum. We have to think about what will be the mechanism; there are many ideas that are thrown in the air," the Israeli president said in an interview with the FT.

Staff Sgt. Aner Elyakim Shapiro tossed back seven grenades thrown into a packed bomb shelter by Hamas terrorists before the eighth fatally wounded him.
