Israel has recorded 239,222 coronavirus cases since March, including 1,528 deaths. So far, 173,085 Israelis have recovered from the disease.

Health Minister Yuli Edelstein says it is "highly likely" that nationwide lockdown imposed throughout the High Holidays will be extended past its current Oct. 10 deadline.
Deaths from coronavirus-related illnesses have doubled from half a million in just three months, led by fatalities in the United States, Brazil and India.
"Iran's record of abuse in sports is just one area of an elaborate tapestry of wholesale violations of basic human rights carried out by the Islamic Republic against its own citizens," reads open letter to IOC President Thomas Bach.
"We are in the midst of a global war and a global epidemic. Even if there are those who violate the guidelines – do not follow them," Netanyahu says amid continuous spike in infections.
Lockdown to take effect at 2 p.m. and remain in place until at least Oct. 11. Health Ministry says that so far, 1,378 COVID-19 patients have died while 152,837 patients have recovered from the virus.
"Does anyone know anything, anywhere in the world, that will stop an outbreak of coronavirus other than preventing gatherings and infection? There is no way, and prevention starts with each one of us," Health Ministry director asserts.
