Turkey’s presidential office denied a Bloomberg report that Ankara is planning to enter Iranian territory if the regime collapses. However, a Turkish diplomatic source told Reuters that “all scenarios are being reviewed”. Among the options reportedly under consideration: setting up refugee camps along the border.

A Turkish Air Force fighter jet crashed overnight during a training exercise, killing its pilot, Turkish media reported. The pilot had taken off from Balikesir Air Force Base, and contact with the aircraft was later lost. Search and rescue teams located the wreckage near a road in the area. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
