With the Likud primary approaching, some in Israel's political system are floating a scenario in which dozens of disgruntled MKs join forces with the opposition to oust Netanyahu even before the election. The chances of such a move succeeding are not high, with the main obstacle remaining the ability to agree on a candidate.

Morocco is an important strategic partner for Israel. But cooperation with an Arab regime should not be confused with ideological affinity, popular friendship or unconditional reliability. Israelis understand that distinction from Egypt and Jordan. They should apply the same realism to Morocco.
