Many of Afghanistan’s growing number of destitute people are making such desperate decisions as their nation spirals into a vortex of poverty.

Bedouin man in his 20s, who authorities say suffers from a mental illness and has a criminal record, was returned to Israel with the coordination of UNIFIL, Israeli Defense and Foreign Ministry officials. He appears to have entered Lebanon of his own volition, IDF spokesperson says.
