The electoral crisis that has plagued Israel for the past year over the political logjam reflects a malfunctioning political culture. This election season should motivate us to fix it.

Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan opens his borders to allow flood of migrants into Europe. "It's done, the gates are open now. You will have your share of this burden now," he tells European leaders. Soon "the number of people going to the border will be expressed in millions."

Benjamin Netanyahu's achievement cannot be ignored. The public has been spared another expensive, divisive election. We now have to pull ourselves together and recover from a year of political upheavals.
