The funds will be used to produce and promote viral videos on social media to help increase familiarity with Israel, expose BDS misinformation and mobilize other pro-Israel activists to combat those who de-legitimize and boycott it. “This is another important step to assist Israeli advocacy in the world,” says Minister for Strategic Affairs Gilad Erdan.

“Israel has received many requests for assistance, mainly in the diplomatic and humanitarian realm. We identify with the deep distress of the Kurds, and we are assisting them through a range of channels," says Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely. "We are proud of our taking a stand alongside the Kurdish people," she adds.

With Justin Trudeau re-elected prime minister of Canada, the fight against anti-Semitism and BDS is expected to continue, as the country looks inward to more pressing domestic issues.

According to diplomats who spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity, the incident occurred at Iran’s enrichment site at Natanz last week.
