Security forces are closing in on the Palestinian terrorist who carried out a terrorist shooting at the Barkan Industrial Park in Samaria on Oct. 7, killing two Israelis and wounding a third.
In a joint operation in the city of Tulkarem west of Netanya and the village Danaba on Tuesday night, forces made up up Border Police, Israel Police, Shin Bet security agency, and the IDF personnel arrested several Palestinians suspected of assisting Ashraf Walid Suleiman Naalwa, who has remained at large since he fled the scene of the attack.
The IDF Spokesperson's Unit said that during the operation in Danaba, forces fired shots at the home of one of the suspects, but no one was injured.
The suspect was detained for interrogation.
An investigation into the attack has revealed that Naalwa, a former employee of the Alon Group in the Barkan Industrial Park, near the city of Ariel, entered the company's offices armed with an automatic rifle early on the morning of the attack.
Inside, he handcuffed Kim Levengrond Yehezkel, 28, to a chair and shot her at close range, killing her. He then walked over to the adjacent cubicle and shot Sara Vaturi, 54, in the abdomen, moderately wounding her, and then shot and killed Ziv Hajbi, 35, before fleeing.
Later that same day, IDF and Shin Bet forces raided Naalwa's home in the West Bank village of Shuweika, north of Tulkarem, and arrested several suspected accomplices, including his brother and sister.
