Two IDF combat soldiers were injured Monday, one of ‎them seriously, during a training exercise in the ‎Golan Heights‎. ‎

According to available details, the accident ‎happened when the Caterpillar D9 bulldozer ‎in which the pair were traveling overturned during maneuvers. Both men were airlifted to Rambam Medical Center in ‎Haifa for treatment. ‎

GOC Army Headquarters Maj. Gen. Yaakov Barak has ‎ordered an investigation into the incident.‎

Also on Monday, four officers were officially ‎reprimanded over a Nov. 12 incident in which Hamas ‎fired a missile on an IDF bus that had bypassed a ‎roadblock set up by the Military Police near the ‎Israel-Gaza Strip border.‎

Video footage of the incident released by Hamas ‎shows a Kornet laser-guided missile hitting the bus ‎directly. A group of around 30 soldiers had ‎disembarked from the bus moments before the attack, ‎and only one soldier, 19, who had remained on the ‎bus sustained serious injuries.‎

Following an investigation of the incident, an ‎official notation was made in the service records of ‎the commander of the regional brigade and the ‎regimental commander who allowed the bus to travel ‎in the sector, which at the time was under heavy ‎Hamas fire.‎

The two company commanders who were with the troops ‎on the bus and lied to Military Police personnel at ‎the scene to bypass the roadblock were also ‎reprimanded. ‎

‎"This incident was studies and the conclusion drawn ‎from it were implemented on the ground," the IDF ‎Spokesperson's Unit said in a statement. ‎
