The short-range missile system, known by the acronym LORA, was fired first at a target 55 miles away, then at a target 250 miles away, IAI said.

In both scenarios, the missile followed its path to the target and hit it with the utmost precision, the company said in a statement.
"This complex test, carried out in the context of a pandemic, demonstrated the advanced capabilities of IAI and LORA, our strategic missile system," said Boaz Levy, general manager and executive VP of IAI's systems, missiles, and space group.
Following the successful trial, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: "While we are still at war with the coronavirus, we continue to safeguard the security of Israel – defensively and offensively.
