Thus far, 27,542 Israelis have contracted the virus, and 17,599 have recovered.

Currently, 70 corona patients are hospitalized in serious condition, 27 of whom are on ventilators. Another 67 patients are hospitalized and listed in moderate condition.

Friday's report stated that 1,700 healthcare workers are currently in quarantine, including 258 doctors, 487 nurses, and 955 members of other healthcare professions.

The Health Ministry has also published data on the spread of the virus in the past three days. Jerusalem, Israel's largest city, saw the highest infection rate, with 386 of its residents testing positive for coronavirus. Jerusalem was followed by Tel Aviv-Jaffa (172) and Ashdod (136).

Tel Aviv-Jaffa has now been added to the Corona National Information and Knowledge Center's list of hotspots and has been fingered for public outreach, more testing, and quarantine enforcement.

Other cities that saw significant numbers of positive corona tests in the past three days included Modi'in Illit (70); Bat Yam (68); Petah Tikva (57); Beit Shemesh (52), and Holon (46).
