Israeli actress Shira Haas, 24, star of the critically acclaimed Netflix series Unorthodox, continues to conquer new heights, this time on the cover of Variety .

"Unorthodox" revolves around the life of an ultra-Orthodox Hasidic woman, Esty, who rebels against her community's strict prohibitions.
"Unorthodox star Shira Haas is ready for a big career in Hollywood," reads the Variety cover.
Haas who has recently been nominated for an Emmy for her role in the show, is featured among other rising stars in the 2020 Power of Young Hollywood issue of the magazine, which profiled three young individuals who have recently made "an impact in the entertainment industry."
"One reason for Haas' singularity is her ability to express complicated, subtle emotions," Variety's Kate Aurthur noted in the piece. The show's creator Anna Winger told Variety: "We always say that she always has two things going on on her face at the same time."
