The Central District Court on Monday banned the future screening of the controversial 2002 documentary Jenin Jenin in Israel. While the judge ordered all existing copies of the film be handed over to the court, she did not order the film be removed from YouTube.

In addition, the court ordered the film's director, Mohammed Bakri, to pay the plaintiff, Lt. Col. (res.) Nissim Magnagi, compensation in the amount of 175,000 shekels ($55,000) as well as NIS 50,000 ($15,000) in legal expenses.
Since the film was released in 2002, the movie, which deals with Operation Defensive Shield – a wide-scale Israeli counterterrorism campaign in the West Bank – has received harsh criticism for distorting the facts on the ground.
