An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 struck north-central Greece on Wednesday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.

The epicenter of the quake was some 25 km. (15 miles) northwest of Larissa, Greece's fifth-most populous city, social media users reported.
According to EMSC, the quake occurred at a depth of 2 km (1.24 miles).
