Lizben Agha was taken by Nigeria's internal security agency, the Department of State Services (DSS), on July 9 in the Igbo village of Ogidi.
She was assisting the crew in filming the Igbo Jews. The Israelis were arrested during Friday night Shabbat services at a local synagogue.
Her son, Emmanuel, told BBC News that Agha and her husband, Peniel, were taken from their home at gunpoint by security forces on July 9 and driven to a hotel where the Israelis were staying. The two were released but then Agha was arrested after pleading to go with the guests as a mediator.
