A 30-year-old woman in her 32nd week of pregnancy was hospitalized Thursday in the intensive care unit at Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer after contracting COVID-19, the hospital reported.

As of Thursday, there were 33 pregnant women and 14 newly-delivered mothers in Israel who have tested positive for the virus, 20 of whom (43%) were unvaccinated. 53% of the patients were fully vaccinated and 4% (two new mothers) were in the process of being vaccinated.
Of the new mothers who were positive for COVID, two were listed in serious or critical condition.
