Israeli security forces on Monday thwarted a stabbing attack at a bus stop at the Etzion Junction, south of Jerusalem.

According to available details, a knife-wielding Palestinian attempted to stab IDF soldiers stationed in a security checkpoint in the area. The troops engage their assailant.
Israeli media reported the man was shot in his hand and taken to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
A military spokesperson confirmed no injuries were reported among the soldiers, adding the matter was under investigation.
