The music project Metal Project, a brainchild of singer Eliyahu Dali, aims to put a modern twist on Jewish liturgy through heavy metal. His latest single is a modern rendition for Adon Olam.

"Some 10 months ago, I sat down to write a new melody for another song, and although I found some tune that I could really connect with it didn't quite fit the lyrics, so then I thought, 'Why not just put this tune on Adon Olam?'," Dali told Israel Hayom. "It worked really well, so I just continued with it and this is how this turned into reality," he recalled.
"I have a small wish that sometimes this melody will be used by congregants at the synagogue when they reach that part of the Shabbat prayer services," he added.
