This marked the first time the up-and-coming parliamentarians are visiting Israel.
"I am delighted to see this group of young and promising parliamentarians visit Israel," ELNET CEO Shai Bazak said in a statement. "We have made it our priority to strengthen the relationship between Israel and Europe and I believe that the best way to begin, is with the future generation of leaders."
The group visited the Kerem Shalom border crossing and an Iron Dome battery to learn about the challenges that communities in southern Israel face and how the IDF protects residents against cross-border attacks.
The EU parliamentarians also planned to meet with members of the Knesset from the coalition and the opposition.
Earlier this month, ELNET organized a tour of Israel for senior European Parliament members, including an up-close look at a giant tunnel crossing from Lebanon to Israel used by Hezbollah.
