Over a month after it started, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Israel is still working to raise the necessary money to pay for its X-ray machine, which finally broke down in early November after years of use.

The SPCA purchased a replacement and launched a crowd-funding campaign to cover the cost.
The next-generation X-ray machine and room cost a total of 110,000 shekels ($35,000). As of Sunday, Dec. 19, the campaign had raised approximately two-thirds of the money (66,275 shekels, or $21,120), which it has committed to pay by the middle of 2022.
