Egyptian mediators that have recently arrived in the Gaza Strip reportedly brought a message from Israel to Hamas in which the Jewish state warned that it might resume the targeted assassination of the terrorist group's members if it continued propagating violence in Judea and Samaria.

According to the Lebanese outlet Al-Akhbar, the warning comes amid heightened tensions due to the recent spate of attacks in Judea and Samaria. According to the report, Israel threatened it might attack Hamas members in Gaza and beyond.

Al-Akhbar is affiliated with the Shiite terrorist group Hezbollah. The paper said that Hamas officials told the Egyptian delegation that Israel had not been living up to its end of the bargain when it comes to developing the Gaza Strip. An analyst that was quoted in the paper said that the visit was nothing more than a smokescreen to give the impression that progress is being made in the talks between Israel the terrorist group.

Another outlet, the Qatari-affiliated The New Arab, reported that Israel and Egypt have been in contact in recent weeks in order to restore calm in Judea and Samaria, with Egyptian officials worried that Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists are expected to meet in order to coordinate attacks.
