Between 2012 and 2021, such organizations received 548 million shekels (around $171 million) from countries overseas.
According to the report, left-wing human rights organization Hamoked, which acts to prevent the demolition of terrorists' homes, among other activities, received over 37 million shekels (around $11 million) in funding.
Hamoked recently petitioned the court against the demolition of the home of Fadi Abu Shkhaydam, the terrorist who murdered Eliyahu David Kaye.
B'Tselem, which contacted the United Nations with the aim of establishing an independent international investigative committee following 2014's Operation Protective Edge in the Gaza Strip, received over 62 million shekels (around $19 million) in funding.
In 2018, B'Tselem launched a campaign calling on Israeli soldiers to refuse to fire at rioters on the Gaza border.
The Association for Civil Rights in Israel received 23 million shekels (around $7 million), according to the report, while Yesh Din: Volunteers for Human Rights received 48 million shekels (around $15 million). Zochrot, which works to promote the Palestinian "right of return, received eight million shekels ($2.5 million).
Adalah – The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel, which provided legal defense to former Balad MK Azmi Bishara, who was charged with spying on Israel for Hezbollah; and has demanded the Law of Return be repealed and that Israel be transformed into a binational state, received 23 million shekels (around $7 million) in overseas funding, according to the Im Tirzu report.
Peace Now, which is behind protests at the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah that has been the center of a property dispute, received 17 million shekels ($5.3 million), while Breaking the Silence received 32 million shekels (around $10 million) in funding.
"Over the last decade, foreign governments have made post-Zionist propaganda organizations their spearhead in the fight against the State of Israel's Zionist identity," according to Alon Schwarzer, head of Im Tirtzu's policy division.
"Decision-makers must understand that the phenomenon of massive funding by foreign governments is a real threat to Israel's continued existence. No normative country would be willing to allow organizations operating from its territory to be funded by foreign governments through the promotion of draft-dodging and insubordination in the people's army, calling for its soldiers to stand trial internationally, international pressure, boycotting state products, and activities to cancel its character," he said.
Peace Now responded to the report, saying, "We are proud of every shekel we received from Israel's friends around the world for our activities for the Israeli interest, the end of the occupation, and peace with the Palestinians. Instead of publishing 'reports' that rely on transparent information accessible to anyone with internet service, we suggest Im Tirzu publish its shady list of donors for once."
In a statement, Zochrot said: "The donations are reported to the Associations Registration in accordance with the law."
B'Tselem issued a statement saying: "We are happy that Israel Hayom and Im Tirzu have begun following B'Tselem's reports to the Associations Registrar. We recommend they also follow our reporting on human rights violations. As for the funding, there is a link to donors on B'Tselem's site. We would be happy to receive public assistance in funding this project and many others."
Yesh Din said: "We are proud of every shekel we received from democratic countries that support the promotion of human rights and even publish this on our site. We invite Israel Hayom to publish the important activities carried out with these donations for a change."
