The Israel Police on Saturday arrested six men suspected of breaking into a military museum in northern Israel and stealing a number of old weapons with the alleged intent to upgrade and use them.

According to the report, the burglary at the Golani Museum took place on Friday night. None of the weapons taken were operational, the museum said.
The police said all the suspects, in their 20s and 30s, are from the northern Bedouin town of Tuba-Zangariyye, 40 kilometers (25 miles) from the museum.
Police said the recovered weapons included a mortar, an RPG, 2 MAG machine guns, 3 Galil assault rifles, an unnamed sniper rifle, an Uzi submachine gun, an unnamed carbine rifle, and an M-16 assault rifle.
