According to reports on Palestinian social media, Israeli troops, mainly from the Golani infantry brigade, exchanged fire with Palestinian terrorists. There were no reports of casualties.
Within the framework of Operation Wave Breaker, troops also operated in other locations across Judea and Samaria overnight Monday, arresting over a dozen terror suspects in the Palestinian towns and villages of Tammun, al-Yamun, Anabta, Silwad, al-Khader, Beit Furik, and Beita.
As a reminder, in the wake of numerous attacks in Israeli cities in recent weeks, Operation Wave Breaker has focused on the terrorist hotbed of Jenin. In an IDF raid in the city on Monday morning, one suspected terrorist was killed.
Thus far, within the framework of the operation, more than 200 Palestinians who are suspected of involvement in terrorist activity have been arrested.
Also early Tuesday, a police officer sustained minor injuries after being stabbed by an undocumented Palestinian in the southern city of Ashkelon.
According to available details, the officer approached the man to ask for identification and the suspect pulled out a knife and attacked him, inflicting minor wounds. The officer "responded quickly, fired, and neutralized the suspect," the Israel Police said in a statement.
