SANA, citing a military source, said Syrian air defenses shot down "some" of the missiles fired.
It said the strikes only caused physical damage but did not specify further.
Earlier Arab media reports said unidentified aircraft had entered Lebanese airspace.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based group, said Israel targeted military positions in towns on the outskirts of Damascus, where it said: "A military site of the Iranian-backed militias and Palestine Liberation Army are present."
According to a report by pro-Saudi news site Al-Arabiya, the attack also targeted a weapons shipment that had arrived in Syria two days ago, consisting of Iranian-made radar systems and air-defense batteries. Another target of the alleged Israeli strike, according to the report, was a shipment of advanced Iranian drones.
The alleged strike comes after another reported strike by Israel last Saturday in the town of Masyaf and nearby areas west of Hama province. That attack came during the day, which is rare.
Israel has mounted frequent attacks against Iranian targets in Syria, where Tehran-backed forces including Lebanon's Hezbollah have deployed over the last decade to support President Bashar Assad in Syria's war and are now attempting to establish another front against Israel on the Golan Heights.
In March, Syrian state media reported that an Israeli attack over the Syrian capital Damascus killed two civilians and left some material damage.
