New video footage from last Friday's events at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem emerged on Sunday, showing an inflamed Arab mob shouting nationalistic slogans while one protester, wearing a mask, burns the Israeli flag amid loud cheers. Protesters at the scene also shouted "Allahu akbar" (God is great, in Arabic).

Matan Peleg, head of the right-wing Im Tirtzu organization, said, "The Israeli government is handing the Temple Mount to Jordan and the Islamic Movement. The phrase "The Temple Mount is in our hands" is no longer relevant for this government. We call on anyone who still has a drop of integrity in this anti-Zionist coalition to act immediately to arrest halt all negotiations over handing over the Temple Mount; to immediately restore sovereignty over the mount, including the presence of the security forces; and allow Jews to freely enter the mount. The Jewish people will not forgive those who sold the Temple Mount. Our children will not forgive them either."
He added: "This is a wanton diplomatic initiative carried out above the head of the Israeli public. Very much like the Oslo Accords, only worse. In recent months, countless meetings have taken place between senior Israeli officials and the Jordanian king [Abdullah II), and now we understand the results. The loss of sovereignty on the Temple Mount, disengagement, and withdrawal. Beyond the fact that this initiative contravenes the Basic Law: Jerusalem the Capital of Israel, it was implemented in an egregiously undemocratic manner, free of charge, without anything in return. This is unfathomably reckless diplomacy the likes of which we've never seen before."
As a reminder, tensions at the Temple Mount have refused to subside over the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Around a week ago, at the conclusion of Friday dawn prayers, dozens of masked Palestinians rioted and disrupted the public order at the holy site. They entered the mosque, shut the doors, and began throwing rocks and launching fireworks while desecrating the site. Israeli police forces are currently stationed at the site to ensure the public order and the safety of non-Muslims.

After 10 days, meanwhile, the PLO flag was removed from the Dome of the Rock on Sunday, the Israel Police confirmed to Israel Hayom.
"We're glad the flag of terror was removed," Peleg said. "However, the negotiations currently taking place with Jordan over the de facto surrender of Israeli sovereignty on the Temple Mount, all so the Muslim Brotherhood doesn't disrupt the coalition, isn't just a stain on Israeli politics. It is a slippery slope that puts the Zionist enterprise in danger. There is no Zionism without Zion, and there is no government without Jerusalem. Disgraceful."
