"I am very excited about this achievement. I worked very hard and it is great to finally achieve results that reflect my true capabilities," Levin said shortly after his victory. "There is nothing more exciting than seeing the Israeli flag on the podium. This is just the beginning for me, a long road lies ahead of similar accomplishments."
Meanwhile, another Israeli climber, Alex Khazanov, came in seventh in the qualifying round of the Climbing World Cup held in Salt Lake City. He is scheduled to compete in the semi-finals on Sunday evening.
Yotam Ben Reuven and from the women's category Ayala Kerem, who came in 23rd and 21th respectively, failed to make it to the semifinals after coming within a hairbreadth of qualifying.
