In her first public statement on the upcoming elections since taking over as head of Yamina, she said, "There are ways in which we can be united and sit together."
Shaked lamented that Israel was headed toward its fifth election in three years and called on lawmakers to "work together."
"I believe together we can establish a broad national government," she said at a festival in the northern town of Carmiel.
Comments came as Shaked tries to stabilize Yamina, which she took over from former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett last week after he announced he was stepping down and taking a hiatus from politics.
Meanwhile, the Labor Party, which is headed by Transportation Minister Merav Michaeli, is gearing up for its leadership primaries on July 18.
Although Michaeli is facing strong competition, including from Eran Hermoni, Public Security Minister Omer Barlev, Gilad Kariv, Emilie Haya Moatti, Ram Shefa, Efrat Rayten, Naama Lazimi, Diaspora Affairs Minister Nachman Shai, controversial Arab MK Ibtisam Mara'ana, and others, she is nevertheless expected to retain her position.
