"I informed him [about the] unspeakable suffering, loss of life, and destruction caused by Russian missiles and Iranian-made drones," he tweeted.
Though Israel has condemned the Russian invasion, it has so far refrained from supplying Ukraine with arms fearing it would limit its freedom of action in Syria, where Russia has a foothold, and out of fear for the wellbeing of Jews living in Russia. It has, however, provided extensive humanitarian relief and was the first country to open a field hospital on Ukrainian territory after the invasion.

Lapid's office said he reiterated to Kuleba Israel's support for Ukraine and expressed his "deep concern" about the military connection between Iran and Russia after reports said that Moscow began using Iranian-made drones in battle.
