Entrepreneurs in Ecuador hoping to boost the development in the region can now enroll again in US-offered free training programs.
The first training program is called the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative; YLAI is an exchange program for young entrepreneur leaders sponsored by the United States Department of State. The program seeks to empower young people to strengthen their ability to launch, promote and manage their business ideas and contribute effectively to the social and economic development of Ecuador.

The program is aimed at young people between the ages of 25 and 35 who speak English and have had a business for two years. Since 2015, YLAI has trained more than 1,000 young entrepreneurs from 37 countries in Latin America, Canada, and the Caribbean.
The second program is called the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs; AWE is the program of the US Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. It is designed to empower women around the world to reach their economic potential, creating conditions for greater stability, security, and prosperity.
AWE is done in Spanish; The program focuses on the building blocks of business and is designed to be accessible to almost anyone, regardless of education, age, or work experience. At the end of the course, the participants have a complete business plan and theoretical and practical knowledge of the business.
