The festival will include 2-3 nights of outdoor camping in the cool air of Mitzpe Ramon's Nanah Farm, experiential volunteering in the vineyard with sunrise (activity adapted for children), activities for children, communal singing around the bonfire, and more.
In the vineyard, during sunset and sunrise, star and desert workshops will be held as well as activities for children, meetings with farmers, an evening of Israeli songs around the bonfire, and more.
Eran Raz, farmer at Nanah Farm said, "The harvest festival symbolizes for us the peak of the season, not only in terms of the end of the growing season and the ripeness of the grapes, but also in terms of the number of volunteers and the assistance that HaShomer organization provides to farmers in our region and in Mitzpe Ramon.
It is exciting to see people from all corners of the country, from all backgrounds and shades, coming together to work the land of the Negev. People who wake up early in the morning and enter the vineyard rows to harvest the grapes. This year, more than ever, it proves that there is a reason and a purpose to unite around the issue of agriculture and Hebrew labor. The harvest festival connects everyone to the Zionist, ethical, and Israeli story," he said.
