The two-week course (spanning a week in Israel and another in New York) has recently concluded.
It attracted a cohort of 15 master's degree students specializing in social work from the Hebrew University, in addition to participants from Yeshiva University's Wurzweiler program for master's degree students in social work.
Aimed at providing students with a well-rounded understanding of trauma care, the course carried a credit value of 3 points within the elective curriculum, contributing to their pursuit of a qualified degree. The course curriculum delved into a diverse range of aspects concerning trauma, encompassing issues stemming from family dynamics, military experiences, and more.
Nechama Munk, the director of Yeshiva University's Wurzweiler program in Israel, expressed her gratification with the course's resounding success. She highlighted how the course afforded students the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the methodologies of trauma treatment both in the United States and Israel, equipping them with invaluable tools for their personal growth as well as the care of their future patients.
