Ronen Angel (54) disappeared with his wife Karina (51) and his daughters Mika (18) and Yuval (10) from Kibbutz Nachal Oz on October 7th. Ronen's brother, Danny, talks about him on video.
"My brother, Ronen, is defined as a kind of force of nature. My brother is a terribly optimistic guy. He's always laughing, nothing bothers him, he's a relentless rascal, used to drive my parents crazy. He's a biker, a journalism photographer, he's done anything you could think of. Suddenly he kind of settled down – a wife, 3 kids.
"He, with his wife and 2 girls, disappeared off the face of the earth. Then, around 12:00, I opened Ronen's Facebook and suddenly I saw, in his Story, a despicable terrorist smiling at the camera, saying something in Arabic. I instantly fall apart.
"I know my brother. My brother would have gone out there and go berserk on whoever was there. This is the way he is – he strives for contact, no matter the consequences.
"If there's something I can hold on to – It's that if Ronen is really a captive, and he's with the girls, he can always find the way to make those around him laugh. He can find the strength to get through this somehow.
"Please bring back my brother, Ronen, his wife Karina, his daughter Mika and his daughter Yuvali. Please bring them back home."
